Modterra Home partners with trusted warehouses and carriers to deliver furniture and décor safely to your door. Below is a clear overview of how and where we ship, typical timelines, and what to expect for larger freight deliveries.
Where We Ship
We currently ship to residential and commercial addresses within the contiguous United States (the 48 mainland states). At this time, we do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international destinations.
Order Processing Time
Most in-stock items begin processing quickly once your order is placed.
- Standard processing time is typically 1–3 business days for in-stock items.
- Processing time may be slightly longer during peak seasons, weekends, and holidays.
- Made-to-order, oversized, or special items may list a longer lead time on the product page.
Processing time is separate from transit time. We will send a shipping confirmation email with tracking details once your order has left the warehouse.
Estimated Transit Times
Transit times depend on the item size, weight, and destination. Most orders ship from U.S.-based warehouses.
Standard parcel delivery (small and medium items):
- Ships via FedEx, UPS, or similar ground carriers.
- Typical transit time is 2–7 business days after the order leaves the warehouse.
- No signature is usually required; packages may be left at your door if deemed safe by the driver.
Freight delivery (large and oversized items):
- Ships via LTL freight carriers or white glove partners.
- Transit time ranges from 7–21 business days, depending on the carrier and destination.
- The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery window for curbside or threshold delivery.
- An adult signature is typically required.
Shipping Methods & Services
Shipping method is determined by item size and weight:
- Standard Ground: Delivered to the door or mailbox area.
- Curbside Freight: Delivered to the end of your driveway or nearest safe point.
- Upgraded / White Glove: Offered on select items when available (shown at checkout).
Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on item weight, size, carrier, and destination.
- Any shipping fees will appear before you complete your order.
- Promotional or category-based free shipping may apply on select items.
- Oversized freight items may include additional surcharges.
We are unable to ship to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses at this time.
Multiple Shipments
Orders containing multiple items may ship separately from different warehouses.
- You may receive multiple tracking numbers.
- Items may arrive on different days.
Tracking Your Order
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details.
- Tracking updates may take up to 24 hours to appear.
- Click the tracking link to view the latest carrier status.
- If marked “delivered” but not received, check with neighbors and household members before contacting us.
Freight Delivery Tips
For large, heavy, or fragile items delivered by freight:
- Ensure someone is present at the scheduled delivery time.
- Inspect all packaging with the driver before signing.
- Note any visible damage on the bill of lading before accepting.
- If damage is significant, you may refuse delivery and notify us immediately.
Delayed or Lost Shipments
Carrier delays may occur due to weather or high volume.
- If your shipment is delayed, contact us and we will follow up with the carrier.
- If the carrier confirms your shipment is lost, we will arrange a replacement or refund.
