At Modterra Home, we work with trusted U.S.-based warehouses and national carriers to deliver thoughtfully selected lighting and home décor safely and efficiently. This policy explains where we ship, how shipping costs are calculated, and what to expect after placing an order.
Where We Ship
Modterra Home currently ships to residential and commercial addresses within the contiguous United States (48 states).
At this time, we do not ship to:
- Alaska or Hawaii
- U.S. territories
- International destinations
- P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses
All orders ship from U.S.-based fulfillment warehouses.
Order Processing Time
- Most in-stock items are processed within 1–3 business days after the order is placed.
- Processing times may vary slightly during peak seasons or holidays.
- If an item requires additional handling time, this will be noted on the product page when applicable.
Processing time is separate from transit time. Once your order leaves the warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details.
Estimated Delivery Times
Once shipped, most orders arrive within 2–7 business days, depending on destination and carrier capacity.
- Shipped via FedEx, UPS, or comparable regional ground carriers
- Delivery timelines are estimates and are not guaranteed (weather, regional volume, and service interruptions can cause delays)
- Most deliveries do not require a signature unless specified by the carrier
Shipping Costs & Flat-Rate Tiers
Modterra Home uses flat-rate shipping tiers to keep delivery pricing predictable. Shipping tiers are determined automatically based on item size, packaging requirements, weight, and the total order value.
Final shipping charges are always displayed clearly at checkout before purchase.
Flat-Rate Shipping Tiers

Standard Flat-Rate Shipping — $19.95
Applies to most small and standard-size lighting fixtures. -
Expanded Flat-Rate Shipping — $29.95
Applies to medium-size fixtures or multi-item orders. -
Large Item Shipping — $49.95
Applies to larger pendant lights, heavier fixtures, or items requiring reinforced packaging. -
Oversized Item Shipping — $99.95
Applies to oversized lighting, statement pendants, and select chandeliers requiring special handling.
Large, Oversized & Specialty Items
Certain lighting items — including large pendant lights, multi-light fixtures, statement pieces, and chandeliers — require additional packaging and carrier handling.
- These items may ship under higher flat-rate tiers due to dimensional weight and packaging needs.
- Some orders may ship in reinforced cartons or multiple boxes.
- Final shipping is always confirmed at checkout before purchase.
Multiple Shipments
Orders containing multiple items may ship from different warehouses. As a result:
- You may receive multiple tracking numbers
- Items may arrive on different delivery dates
Tracking Your Order
Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email that includes tracking information.
- Tracking updates may take up to 24 hours to appear
- Please monitor shipment status through the carrier’s tracking link
- If marked “delivered” but not received, please check with household members or neighbors before contacting us
Delivery Notes
- Carriers may leave packages at their discretion
- Modterra Home is not responsible for delays caused by weather, carrier disruptions, or incorrect address information provided at checkout

Delayed or Missing Shipments
- Carrier delays may occur due to weather, regional volume, or service interruptions.
- If a shipment appears delayed or tracking stops updating for several business days, contact our support team and we’ll assist.
- If a carrier confirms a shipment as lost, we will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.
